Joseph (Larry) Stelmah passed away peacefully on January 8, 2005, at his home in Oro Valley, Arizona, at the age of 62.
Born in Ohio, Joseph moved to Ontario, California where he lived for 20 years. After moving to Carlsbad, California (for 16 years), Joseph moved to Oro Valley, Arizona, where he spent the last 10 years of his life.
Joseph graduated in 1959 from Chaffey High School (Ontario, CA), from Chaffey Junior College in 1961 (Alta Loma, CA), and from Pepperdine University in 1974 (Los Angeles, CA). He began his career in Aero Space in 1961 with General Dynamics (Pomona, CA). He was transferred to San Diego by General Dynamics/Hughes in 1979, and to Tucson, Arizona by Hughes/Raytheon in 1994. Joseph was Production Manager for Raytheon's Air to Air missiles when he became disabled by lung cancer in 2003.
